The 4 Elements of Nature

The 4 Elements of Nature is a dance film presented as a final research project of Marta's MA Dance Performance and Choreography at the University of Bedfordshire. This is a practice as research project based on a 30 minutes choreographic film about the relationship between the body, dance and the elements of nature.

Marta's aim was to show and connection between the personal body and the natural organisms of her surroundings. Nature influenced her movements as well as she tried to become and sense a correlation with nature.

She defines this project as an ecological relationship with nature which embeds ecological approaches. She intended to create an organic interconnection between her body and the changing organisms of a specific environment around the elements of water, earth, air, and fire.

It is a personal experience inside nature and a statement about inhabitation, coming back to our roots, away from materialism and capitalism.
